Richard refreshed this set of Georgian dining chairs by using a coral linen fabric. To be honest when Richard bought these chairs I was on the fence. I thought the doohickey on the top of the chair back was too fussy. This flashy bold print makes the doohickey less conspicuous. I love the chairs but I still can’t stand the fact that Richard was right.
Obviously cost is a major consideration in the “whether to reupholster” question but the bigger question is whether the “bones” of the piece are worth saving. A second opinion from an interior decorator (like say Richard) can help you decide if it’s trash or treasure.
