Richard has just done a new store window to support Port Hope’s annual house tour on October 5th. This year Richard’s condo/loft space, in a converted century old school, is on it!
The window also promotes made in Haiti papier-mache which are hand constructed from layers of re-purposed cement bags and old french publications including Balzac‘s short stories and plays. This Oprah endorsed business trains and employs many Haitians who were left homeless after the earthquake in 2010.
Surreptitiously, I thought you’d enjoy this sneak peek of Richard’s abode. He actually designed and had these bevelled antiqued mirror subway tiles for his backsplash custom-made. Ditto for the rangehood.
He really didn’t want to do any unveiling before the tour but he doesn’t have the password for this blog.
Tickets are $25 and available at Glam Vintage & Moderne
