A customer came in yesterday lamenting her previous décor choices. She said “I really have to do something about my place, it’s so boring… I call it “50 shades of beige”.
A quick fix for this problem is the introduction of an area rug with strong colourful graphics. The one on the left of this picture picks up where “boring beige” left off. It’s New Zealand wool, made in India and reasonably priced.
The customer knows it’s just the right thing but still needs the husband’s “approval”. Seems the last time she tried to slip a pair of lamps into their home unnoticed, he secretly found them and hid them from her. She thought she was losing her mind and finally confessed the apparent theft to him.She is now fully disclosing all decor purchases to him while suppressing a giggle about her ever- growing handbag collection.
