Mantelscape by Richard a.k.a. Glam Vintage & Moderne
Karen Williams Host of “Life is Good” with Richard
The local cable program called “Life is Good” just taped a segment with Richard showing off his Christmas crafting skills. Host Karen Williams bantered with Richard as he pilfered pine boughs from his client’s backyard, shopped a discount store for cheap sparkly accents and created a masterpiece front door swag wreath combination and “mantelscape”.
The mantelscape is created using Glam’s glowing “reallite” battery operated candles which also add height to the arrangement. A lustrous mercury glass jar adds even more shine and warmth.
Holiday Mantelscape by Richard from Glam Vintage & Moderne
Every home needs a full length mirror. From college days I fondly remember gazing into my vanity mirror standing on the edge of a bathtub trying to get a head-to-toe look at my entire ensemble. We all know and abhor the clip up back of the door special available at all the big box stores. Proudly display this gorgeous Cheltenham Mirror in any room in your traditional or contemporary digs. It has a warm burnished stepped bevelled segmented frame that converts in from “just a full length mirror” to “wall art”. It would sparkle at the end of a hallway, on a staircase landing, in your bedroom, bathroom or even in plain sight.
Now do I have your attention? The largest one is about 20 inches in diameter and the smallest is 12 inches. Use them anywhere you can appreciate the dramatic drop. Picture these pendants adding sparkle to your foyer, dining room or kitchen island. This might be the “chic” component you could use to juxtapose against your “shabby”. Even hanging by itself the large one makes a huge impact statement. Did somebody say “Get Down”?
Great Christmas bauble purchases can usually only be made in October and November. When the real season is upon us and most of us start to get in the mood to buy the interesting vintage glass and mercury glass ornaments they are already gone to other fine homes. Richard did this great “holiday” arrangement and surrounded it with bowls full of spectacular glass birds, brilliant snowflakes and sparkly pendant ornaments. It is November 21st and the bowls are already half empty. Even if you see them as half full they are undeniably going…going…gone.
Wonderful Christmas windows take us back to the captivating department store displays of our youth. This white and silver themed windows glitter with vintage look Christmas baubles reflected in silvery mirrors and lamps. Richard packs the GLAM window with an array of stunning sparkly decor to create an compelling explosion of light at night.
The fall/winter tablescape incorporates more lustre and sparkle as the season moves out of “harvest” and into “hibernation”. Add warm gold, bronze and silver accents that will reflect the glow of a toasty fire or candlelight.
